"Although attempting to bring about World Peace
through the internal transformation of
individuals is difficult, it is the only way"
Dalai Lama

I am an Associate of Reach, and work in The Reach Approach which is holistic and integrative in nature.

Holistic means considering the person as a whole, recognizing that the needs of all aspects of the individual - mind, body, spirit and the environments in which he or she operates - must be met in order for the individual to realise their potential and enjoy their life fully.

Integrative means using different psychological approaches and therapeutic tools to suit the individual needs of each person in order to help them achieve emotional wellbeing.  In fact, at Reach integrative means much more than this. We believe in 'synergy'; that no single approach, remedy or technique is the answer to our problems but a combination of strategies and approaches is going to deliver the greatest fruits.

And so we integrate not only psychological models but also a deep understanding from other areas related to the human condition (such as diet and nutrition, metaphysics, epigenetics, psychoneuroimmunology [PNI] ) in order to leave no stone unturned in assisting the individual to find sustainable solutions.

I believe that the fundamental requirement for the counselling/therapy to work is the quality, warmth and honesty of the therapeutic relationship and therefore I always strive to create an environment in which my clients can thrive, treating each person with the respect and positivity they deserve, regardless of their background, economic status, race, culture, religion etc.
